It’s been another productive week at the Department of Government Efficiency. Since Elon Musk got to work slashing waste from the federal budget, taxpayers have already saved billions of dollars. Here are DOGE’s five biggest wins of the week:
- DOGE got the U.S. General Services Administration to delete more than 114,000 unused software licenses costing taxpayers more than $9.6 Million.
- DOGE worked with the National Institute of Health to cancel grants for dozens of social justice experiments and studies in China, saving nearly $11 Million.
- DOGE canceled more than $261 Million in contracts for a variety of social justice programs all across the world including Indigenous empowerment efforts in Columbia, literacy training in Kenya, and LGBTQ activism in Lesotho.
- DOGE helped cancel another 128 contracts across federal agencies - including non-essential initiatives like “Larval Fish Monitoring” - which will save taxpayers $60 Million.
- DOGE worked with the Small Business Administration to cancel tens of thousands of unused software licenses and products.
Musk and DOGE have bold plans to cut up to $1 Trillion in waste from the federal budget. While there’s still a lot of work to do, the progress made so far is nothing short of revolutionary.
