On Monday night, East Marlborough Township officials are considering tax increases that could more than double the property tax burden on residents and implement a brand new 1% Earned Income Tax. This move would push many families to the limit and strain our local economy and that's why we're working to stop it. 

The proposed 2025 budget includes a significant increase in the General Purpose Tax, Fire Protection Tax, and Emergency Services Tax, leading to a total increase from 2.183 mills to 4.883 mills. For properties assessed at the median value of $217,300, this means a tax bill jump from $474.37 in 2024 to $1,061.08 in 2025—a stark increase that many residents may struggle to afford.

While public safety and essential services are vital, we believe this tax hike disproportionately burdens residents already managing inflation and rising costs in other areas. 

We're looking for 500 signatures before Monday night to send a clear message: Residents of East Marlborough Township do NOT want a tax increase!
