Our pilots and air traffic controllers are responsible for millions of lives every day, and it’s critical that they have the mental health support they need to be clearly focused when they’re on the job.
But too often, these pilots and air traffic controllers don’t speak up when they need it out of fear that asking for help will cause mistrust from the public or scrutiny from fellow aviation officials.
A bipartisan group of lawmakers in Congress is working on legislation that would reduce the barriers to mental health assistance and make it easier for aviation employees to get the mental help support they need in time.
