Sign the petition to thank our nation's unsung heroes!

On July 10, 1896, Henry Miller, the 38-year-old founder and president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, tragically lost his life after falling from a power pole while working late into the night to restore service in Washington, DC.

While safety practices and procedures have significantly improved since that fateful night, the profession remains one of the most dangerous, demanding, and vital among our nation’s workforce.

Lineworkers truly are the unsung heroes of our communities. They maintain and enhance our complex energy grid, often working around the clock and braving the most hazardous conditions to restore power following severe weather and emergencies.

We owe these dedicated professionals our safety, comfort, and gratitude. Please add your name to this petition right now to formally thank our nation’s lineworkers for their relentless efforts, bravery, and unwavering dedication to powering our lives each and every day.
